Razer Deathadder 2013 Flickering Light?

Hi so my friend's Razer Deathadder 2013 recently got this flickering light over the LED where usually it would just illuminate. As well as the optical sensor does not seem to be working, where the red light does not show at all. This recently happened and his warranty expired around 2 months ago. He asked me if I could fix it for him but I've never had a Razer mouse or a time where this has happened with me. He told me he plugged in his mouse one day and it just stopped working (his friends PC who also has a deathadder 2013). Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

EDIT: The flickering light doesn't show and on my PC when having Razer Synapse installed, it does not see the device.

When did he get the mouse?  Month and Year.  Days would be helpful if possible
