watercooling?? MSI Lightning?? Reference card???

You may have to rephrase your question

If you don't already own the 980 Ti's, reference cards usually have more support. So I'll go ref.

If there's one in particular you like, use the EKWB configurator - https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/ but you want the FULL WATERBLOCK

No. I don't even know how you got that.

I'm taking the heat sink off my 2 980ti's do I just buy something like Msi Lightning or do I need a reference card.

That literally makes no sense.

Sigh....

So here is a list of 980 ti gpus with known EK waterblocks (I don't know all of them off the top of my head, but these ones I am sure of):

MSI Gaming 6G (Twin Frozer V)

Asus Strix

Gigabyte G1

Evga Kingpin

Evga Classified

Nvidia Reference

Get any of the above and you should have no issues finding waterblocks.

I 100% do not recommend reference pcbs. They suck.

Certainly not MSI Lightning from EKWB, no support for that PCB.

Pretty much every non - reference card has a waterblock made for it.

The 980Ti Lighting however does not. You can contact EK if you wish to see if they have any plans for a block. info@ekwb.com

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. They don't. Likewise there are no plans to do a matrix. I just looked it up.
