This is my planned Gaming PC with a 850$ budget. Right now it sits around 840$. Feel free to state your opinions or tips on how to make the build better or cheaper (without hurting performance). The build is centered around the 3570k (planned to overclock) and the 7950. Thanks for any suggestions!

Cut to 212 evo, will probably cool better. Cut HDD to 1tb Barracuda, put saved money towards better case. Your upgrade path will be 120gb Kingston/Crucial/Samsung SSD > CPU cooler (from 212 evo to Silver Arrow, DH14, Dark rock pro 2, h100, Kraken X60 et al. > PSU > 2nd 7950.

Do note that with recent Windows 8 optimizations, patches, and PD improvements, 83x0 lineup is very competitive with the i5. Platform is up to you though, I won't vouch for either.

Crossfire ready.

IIRC, D3P is 16/4x CFX? If so that might be ~10% limitation on slave card. Edited by helping

check how much it is with an 8320 + cheaper motherboard just for a reference point to see how much cheaper it can be

A build of this caliber without a ssd is a bit sad.

My mistake, I misclicked and added the wrong mobo. It was right on top of the right one.

I would rather have more performance before having quicker load times so that is what I recommend

Gaming performance*, not overall performance.

The CX line of PSUs aren't very good quality. I'd get this instead http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ss750am , it's semi modular also.

Don't get the H50, a Coolermaster 212 EVO will do just fine.

I'd get a better case like the Arc Midi R2 as well.
