Yes you would need an adapter.

speaking of which.. where did i throw mine..hmm...

I think they're as same as normal 4pin PWM. So there should be no problem I guess.

Did you have any issues with it... from memory the stock cooler spun up to over 3000RPM..were there any limitations?

i used it with a h55 aio. the fan worked fine really. but i used used it in the range of 500-1500rpm. With a custom fan curve thru msi afterburner.

Would it be wise in your opinion to connect multiple fans? I'm concerned about current limitations on the GPU circuit and can't seem to find any info on it.

thats something you have experiment on. but 2-3 fans should be no problem at all. unless they are special fans that draw alot of power or something.
