Oculus Rift DK2

Hey everyone, 

So I bought a DK2 off a mate yesterday and got it working in Dirt Rally so far, but non of the rollercoaster things seems to work, 

 

now i've downloaded the SDK 0.8 (Latest) and am getting sent his details of VorpX as that was part of the deal,

 

but from guys who using it what general advice would you have, also its weird how the demo where you sitting at the desk is fine but when you walking around the tuscan house I get mad motion sickness. Also didn't get it with Dirt, How does one deal with this ?

Yea it's the false movement of your body that i think does it. With the desk demo and dirt you're sitting still in the game, I had the same thing when i tried my friends DK2. I'm waiting for him to buy the retail version so i can give it a go.

do you have a Wheel to acompany the oculus in Dirt Rally?

or do you use keyboard? does it feel wierd to play racing games with HMD and keyboard?

I'd love to try it out before buying unfortunately our university didn't get a deal with razers OSVR yet.... or ever... =(

I've got a full racing sim with seat and the logitech G27, Its pretty awesome, I played in my mates motion seat with a DK2 and it blew my mind. he seems to have it setup a bit better than me, going to have him come over and help.

motion seat, like something that linux showed at ces where he was racing f1 on a track? daym that's sick...

Ok, so update. 

 

got the rift working found out the USB cable was a bit buggered so replaced it and now it works solid. 

 

The only issue I've got and hopefully someone can hlep me with this. In project Cars the graphics even when set to ultra are really bad if i take the headset off and look at the same picture on my PC screen its back in high quality. 

 

Is this a Pcars Thing, I need to try with Dirt Rally again.
