lol

I mean, rly?

Anyways, lacing is better if u gonna walk a lot. Any leather shoes will be tight on the first day, so walk like 3-4 hours before u're going to use it for a long time after.

yeah not gonna be walking alot sitting down most of the time it's just the commute from my house to train station to work and i hate shoe laces thanks though,

yeah and this is random aff but thought since some people work in office there might be suggestions.

Nope. All of my Guidi shoes were buttery soft from day one, but not too many people are willing to fork out 600-1300.

I have no recommendations as I only like laced shoes.

I can tell this is important to you, so I will give you an honest recommendation.  I would never troll.

Note the CLEAR support on the bottom, it would take something bigger than a pebble to register on your foot with these amazing creations.  And those toes, like an armored battalion immune to all damage... unless you hit your toe area on a door or something, then one of the toes might snap and break.  But these are details.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

There's several good brands like Crockett & Jones, Allen Edmonds, Church's, Alfred Sargent or Loake that might be in your price range given that they are available in Australia with roughly the same pricing as here in the EU but you might have to look for a sale at least for some brands.

Depending on what you wear with the shoe I'd go for a classic oxford in black (e.g. http://www.crockettandjones.com/product/audley-black) or something a bit less formal in brown or tan. If you really hate laces then go for something like a loafer even though laces are pretty much the norm.

Anything in this price range should come with a goodyear welted leather sole. I would also recommend to stay away from typical fashion brands since the quality usually doesn't match that of those brands listed above.

Hehe. My workplace doesn't have a dress code per se. Just common sense and decency. Quite forward thinking for a multi-national, if you ask me.

I bought a pair of boots most commonly used by security guards and whatnot, since they're highly durable and then got myself some custom steel toe tips and heels. Looking into removable sole claws or spikes for ice
