Hello, i am buying a computer of a friend that bought the computer trough the company he works for. He want to remove serialnumbers for GPU, CPU and Motherboard because he didnt pay taxes on the computer since it is "for work", even tho its a gaming computer. When he is selling it to me it is in theory Tax fraud, even tho he loses money on the deal.

So how do we remove the serial-numbers from the computer parts?

If he used it for work at all it isn't tax fraud. Anyways, just peal off the stickers. You will want them though if any issues arise so I personally would recommend throwing them on a wax paper sheet to store separately.

That would be illegal, and therefore not allowed to be discussed on this forum.

Also, you just posted that your mate is committing fraud on the internet... Well done.

Correct, doesn't matter what specs the machine has... If it's been used for work it's not tax fraud.

Well just have his friend do a document for work on it once and voila not tax fraud officially (although the sale is a bit different, just don't call it quid pro quo and then that also isn't "illegal").

I removed the sticker on my gpus because they look better that way. Same with psu.

LOL the stupid paranoia.  The government's going to come after you for what, a small % tax on a computer that costs like $1000-2000?

About 10 years ago when I had diplomatic status, I sometimes helped a some friends buy some computer parts without having to pay for the VAT/TAX/Duty.  And now sometimes I ask some colleagues at work, since I no longer have a diplomatic status, who get tax exemption because they work for the UN.

Hows the Government suppose to know? I mean we here in Michigan are required to report all online purchases we didn't pay tax on, on our income tax. How many people do you really think do this? Like no one.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Exactly, and unless you're paying someone by bank transfer or any e-banking transaction $10,000 or more the government won't notice.  Especially if you pay by cash.
