Guys, my laptop has been messing up a lot over the past few days. It's a Asus G750VW

Temps have been near 90 degrees Celsius(194 Fahrenheit)

Hard drive has been slowing down tremendously(12mbs read/write) it's 5200rpm

Cpu is a Intel 3610qm 2.3 base and 3.2 turbo

GPU is a GTX 660m.

And now the screen is messing up.

Can someone please tell me if this is about to go south, especially with the hard drive. Do I need to go get a external until I get my next build complete? If so which one do I need to go with? I'll prob go to Best Buy to get the hard drive

Thank you!

-good thing I bought my iPad, huh

90 degrees on a laptop can be normal depending on the form factor of the laptop, however the screen issue seems like it could be an idea, can you switch from using the 660m to using the integrated gpu? i don't really know if that makes a difference but maybe it's an issue with one of those? If the hard drive is getting slower then yeah you most likely may need to replace the harddrive, I'd recommend upgrading the HDD to a SSD though if you can afford to get like a 500GB then get a really good USB 3.0 External to keep some games on, like single player games or games that don't really need a fast HDD.

the only graphics card is the 660m. I'm gonna have to get at least a 1tb cause that's the size. I have about 550 gab left.

If you have an Intel CPU then you have integrated Graphics in the laptop, now whether the laptop gives you the option to use the integrated graphics as an option can be different. Usually Asus gives an option though. Not really sure on where it would be but if they didn't in your case then shame on Asus for becoming a crappier company.

As for your HDD I would recommend this then if you need 1TB http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Laptop-2-5-Inch-Internal-ST1000LM014/dp/B00B99JUBQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1452586631&sr=1-1&keywords=2.5+hard+drive&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_two_browse-bin%3A6799355011 it's a solid state hard drive hybrid. Little bit more pricey than just a HDD but worth it when it comes to performance and reliability. Especially for the amount of storage you are getting.
