Viewing/Editing RAW Files

Does anybody know of a free software that can view/edit RAW files? I'm using a Note 5 to take pictures and the file type is .dng if that helps.

If the files are truly RAW image files, you should be able to use something like GIMP to open them.

DNG is a type of RAW, Digital Negative file type created by Adobe.  Because it's an Open format there should be some nice free editors, just google Free DNG image editors.

I don't know of any free other than gimp, if you don't mind paying there is lightroom

BTW: Gimp doesn't work with RAW files all you can do is feeding Gimp with an 8bit tiff or pmg from an external or plug in decoder.

Lightroom and snapseed on android allow you to work with the raw files and convert them into something else. Than there's also GIMP on WIN/MAC.
