I was wondering if anyone had a sort of guide for a mild overclock or possibly just a general tutorial or what to look out for with a mild overclock.

I have a CoolerMaster TX3 EVO and I'm not looking to get 4.5Ghz or anything like that, just wondered what you guys would think about overclocking on that CPU with that cooler?

Well since this CPU has 3.9GHz as turbo boost you can expect an overclock to 4GHz to be just a minor step upwards when it comes to temperatures ... I think you could reach 4GHz by just changing the core ratio to 40 and not even touching the core voltage ^^

[never touch a running system]

when i did a 4Ghz oc on my 4690k i was able to lower my V to 0,97V ( lower than the 3,5Ghz  original from intel)

Wich means very low temps ( similar the temps without oc) and a bit more performance , a least try it out that way.

I wish i could oc my body, during winter overheating would be great.
