What's your budget and location?

Also, it'd be nice if you used http://pcpartpicker.com - I'll assemble your current parts list in there.

Ooh, you're going to need an aftermarket CPU cooler as the k-series Skylake CPUs don't come with them.

And also I would use an R9 390 over a GTX 970.

Sig under construction.

You don't need 80+ platinum.

Get a SeaSonic G-series 550W
Antec High Current Gamer 520M
EVGA G2/GS/GQ 550W
Corsair RMx 550W
XFX 550W

Why Platinum? The efficiency rating tiers means very little. Save some money and get a EVGA 650W GS instead.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

No need for that rating unless above 1000W of power, than you will run into other issues other than effectiveness of it.600 W should be plenty for that build with the overclock, maybe get a r9 390 over gtx 970,but that is my oppinion, both are great choses, but psu 600W should be more than enough with the overclocked system.

550w is too low don't you think? i mean it should be fine for stock settings but I'd give him at least 650W for both CPU and GPU overclocking.

970 and i5? About 300W with overclocks can be expected. Maybe, if you go for a 390 instead, you might see closer to 400W but you're still good on a Seasonic G-series 550W or EVGA GS/GQ/G2 of about that much.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
