The super slim model, does not even have an HDD in it. It uses FLASH storage(12GB). The HDD is optional.

Can you show any proof of it actually being worse?

The HDD in a PS3 probably won't make much difference unless you've got a drive that's nearly dead or you've upgraded to using an SSD which can help with load times (and I believe that some people have done just for running Rage with the texture pop-in issue).

The hard drive across the versions isn't really different in terms of speed/reliability. And the ps3 doesn't really benefit from faster storage. Look at an ssd in a ps3, it made it better, but not hugely better.

Well my ps3 is not new i bought it from friend he was selling it bcs he couldnt play it cause of work he buyed it in 2014 he spent only 100 min playing it i got it about 3 4 weeks ago. Is that hdd close to dying out and how can i know when hdd will die
