Long story short, the hard drive with all my media died, and now I need a new drive. The drive I had before was some 3TB SeaGate drive. The new drive I want to get has to be a NAS drive and preferably 4TB or 5TB. I was looking into some WD Red drives and HGST NAS drives. Will one of those be better than the other, or should I not worry about it that much?

(And yes, I will be getting 2 of whatever drive I get to do raid 1.)

yea same happened to my dads 2tb wd drive(last week), so its not like its brand specific. your best bet is raid 1 oh you said that at the bottom... I personally would get the red drive, or another segate drive, or any consumer drive.
