can hear microphone

I can hear my mic in my headphones... under the mic playback is disabled so I am confused.

My rig: r7 1700 @ 3.9/1.35v, 16gb ddr4 3200, assorted rando SSDs, hx 1050, vega 64 1650/1025

Check all your recording devices, also show the disabled and disconnected devices by right clicking on the box.

 

Right click on all of them and make sure under the Properties-Listen section "Listen to this device" is turned off.

as I said I have turned it off already and can still hear myself
