I am thinking about buying the Samsung 850 Evo but I am wondering is it really worth it or would a less expensive SSD work just fine. If so can someone reccomend a good cheap SSD. Thank you for your help.

P.S. I would like the SSD to be at least 250GB.

The 850 Evo or Sandisk Ultra II are your best bets. There are cheaper options, Crucial BX200, OCZ Trion 100, Adata SP550, Sandisk SSD Plus etc, but they are a lot slower, and the amount you save is small. The BX100 if you can still find it is great, but they're hard to come by after being replaced by the slower BX200. You could also wait on the new 750 Evo, but that might take a while.
