Identifying athlon cpu

Anyone has any idea what cpu is this? I have no way of checking it because the mobo is dead and i cant be bothered to source for one due to how rare they are in my country...

What should i do with this cpu? Toss it away or use it by getting another mobo?

It's been a thing for a long time...  70% of chips had defunct cores that were disabled and rather than throw them they sell them as a lower tier product (same with clock speeds). Some chips were simply locked down to meet market demand instead- these are the ones that unlock.

I was aware of it. I just have friends that always talk about how "AMD doesn't pull the same garbage as Intel and Nvidia!". I'll be sure to let them know about this.

The code is where the guy above circled in red. They line up with the fields on the site. Just keep it in the motherboard. If you really want to remove it, they have cheap CPU cases on Ebay.

ah they all do it, it wouldn't be feasible to manufacture these things at high frequencies otherwise
