Since i got the Acer g3-605 for quiet a while now, i started thinking of building a new one.

I made a list of components i wanted to build in but i thought i'm gonna need advice first.

What i got right now is a brand new ZOTAC GTX 960 (4GB) AMP! Edition and a be quiet! Straight Power E10 CM (700W)

And now basically what i put in my list is:

Case: Corsair Vengeance C70

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H

Network Adapter: ASUS PCE-AC56

RAM: HyperX Fury Black (2x 8GB, DDR3-1600, DIMM 240)

HDD: WD Red (3000GB, 3.5'', NAS)

SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 (120GB, 2.5'', 3.5'' Bracket)

CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock

Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24F1MT

My thoughts for the CPU were that i could use my Core i7 4770 from my old PC. I just need to know if everything would work, if the PSU brings enough Power and if its ok to use my old CPU.

If you're asking, yes, i need the network adapter because there is no way i could get my ethernet cable wired. And i only got a 2.4GHz Channel from my router.

If you got questions or need links, just ask.

I'm sorry if my english was bad and i would be very happy if you could help me out  :D

You can use your old CPU, it'll work great for years to come.

One thing is to be careful with the V300 SSD's from Kingston. Last I heard, there are still some of the old ones out there, which perform terribly and fail. I'd get something better, look at Crucial, Samsung, OCZ or a few other manufacturers.

Other than that, the PC will be great.

Personally I would choose a 240-256GB SSD to keep more fast open program/game storage. But I don't know what you'll use it for or how big our Steamlibrary is so your call.

It should work. Use a PCI-E network card though

The network Card is PCI-E :)

I can look for a other SSD, that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Well i didn't know that it matters where you store your games. Thanks for that Info :D

You don't really need an SSD for game storage. He was talking about using the WD Red, which you're fine using. If you don't own the Red yet, though, consider getting a WD Blue or a Black. Reds are more for NAS, which you can use your PC for, but if you're storing games then a Blue or Black would be better.

When shopping for an SSD though, you don't have to spend a whole bunch. A Crucial BX100 or BX200 will work wonderfully, or a Kingston HyperX SSD. If you have a bit extra to spend, a Samsung 850 EVO is a great choice for reliability and speed. OCZ make great SSD's, you can't go wrong with any of their new series.

Well all i really need the SSD for is the OS. And the WD reds are more for low power usage right? I'm still kinda confused with the different WD HDD's

EDIT: Nevermind, i found a perfect description. Looks like i'm gonna go for the WD Black  :D

Yeah, the Blacks are the fastest of WD's suite. Lots of people use them for gaming.
