What do you think about this build I want to make?

Hello everyone, this is my first time on the forum although I've been watching Linus for around 2 years now.

I'm in search for some opinions about this build I want to make soon:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($189.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Above is the system I'm about to build, I just wanted some feedback from a couple of people about what they'd think of it.
As you can see, I'm opting for a black and white themed pc, very clean and symplistic. My budget is about 900-950$.

In the real build there will also be a couple of modular sleeved cables in white to fit the color theme. In my country, The Netherlands, the whole system costs €933,-.
In the future, I want to upgrade to two-way GTX 960 SLI, extra HDD space and another 8gb's of RAM.

Let me know what you think about the parts. I'm open for recommendations.

Just two things:

-I'd grab a cheaper H97 mobo since you can't overclock.

-Switch the 960 to a better performing 380.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Spoiler

ALL is WELL

3 idiots huh? :)

-------------------------

i would get 380 instead of 960

and you can also save some money on the mobo, you don't need a Z one

I left the case like the one you chose, even though it's a little high for that price point. Try going with some cheaper one ($40-50 range).

I am thinking of getting an I5 4690K instead of the I5 4590, since I really really want that sexy motherbooard to fit in with the white and black. It is only 15$ anyway.

I read everywhere the CPU will not be a problem in terms of bottlenecking, but on game-debate it says an I5 4590 will not be able to play Project Cars to the full.

Is it worth it to get the I5 4690K for 40€? I will overclock if I get it.

For the r9 380, I don't think any of them will fit in with the color scheme. Maybe the MSI, but do you think the Red of MSI can cooperate with the white and black?

Will there fit two of the MSI r9 380's on the motherboard, since they are so thick?

If I were to get a R9 380, It has to be long for that full feeling inside the case. Looks are a key feature for this build. I don't even game that much, and that's the reason I intended to get a GTX 960 instead of a AMD card: the nVidia cards look waaaay better.

Also, in the future I will probably put in another gpu for that Crossfire/SLI. Do you think the 620 Watt PSU will do?

And another topic: a AIO liquid cooler. I find the Corsair H60 2013 edition and the NZXT X31 to be perfect for the looks and my budget. Which of the two would you recommend?

I'm just saying that at this budget it isn't really a good idea to go for looks, but it's your decision :) I couldn't fit the OS in there but i suggest that you look for a cheap Windows 7 and upgrade that to Windows 10 or something like that.

You're for some reason showing the German prices, but i like this build. OP should really go with something like this for more performance than just for the looks at that budget.

I only experienced Corsair AIO's so i can only tell you that i never had any issues with my H100i GTX so far and the installation is really easy.

I searched for some benchmarks and opinions on the GTX 960 vs R9 380.

A lot of people say the R9 380 performs better and benchmarks show so, but either way I think I'll go with the Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming 4GB.

My reasons for this choise are (in order of importance):

- You can overclock the GTX 960 to around freaking 1500 MHz, to get simular performance to the R9 380.

- The GTX 960 from gigabyte is the sexiest card I've ever seen with the backplate and the LED.

- Lower power consumption, also because I'm planning on having SLI in the future.

- Driver support is better for nVidia cards.

- GTX 960 is much more popular, so if problems occur the community will be able to help me better. Not that I hope a problem occurs :)

I also see some of you suggesting the LGA 1151 platform, but I think I'll just stay with LGA 1150 because:

- LGA 1151 is still more expensive: more expensive CPU, RAM, motherboards. If I'd take LGA 1151 with my requirements, it'd cost me around $50 more than LGA 1150. I don't think that is worth it. LGA 1150 will still be acceptable for at least 3 years.

- There are no sexy white motherboards, nor sexy white RAM.

For the Water cooler, the Corsair Hydro H60 seems to do better and in my opinion looks better as well.
