BIOS Update

How do I check my BIOS version and if it is out of date how do I update it? I have an Asus B85 Pro-Gamer motherboard.

Download CPU-Z and click on the Mainboard tab. On your motherboard page, go to Support. It'll request your OS and once you give it, you'll see options to download BIOS revisions.

I downloaded the latest version and it comes in a zip file. I opened it and it is a CAP File. I try to open it but it doesnt work. What do I do now?

Never tried this myself, actually; let me say, as a first time user of that feature, that is a really sketchy looking webpage for something that is actually totally legit :)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You don't need to open the cap file, all you have to do is put it onto an usb. But make sure to watch a video just in case I'm not right.

I just found a video and it says the same thing. I will do it now and get back to you later after it is done.

I don't find it sketchy looking.

Really!?  It's got like literally every cliché of those "upgrade your computer now!" "free virus scan" sites... you know the ones :)

Maybe I'm just used to their style.
