Hi friends! Newbe here!
I would like to buy an ssd but not to move or reinstall the OS ( I know, it takes nothing, but I'm too lazy int that case). I saw brands like OCZ or Sandisk that have their own ssd caching solution: they sell you an ssd and a software that works just with that ssd and the software lets you use the ssd as a huge cache for you slow hdd.
Is there any software solution like the Expresscache from Sandisk, but that works with every ssd?!?
Hope you have understood what I'm looking for!

Thank you all in advance!

Intel has Intel Smart Response Technology if you have an Intel CPU.

You also need at least a Z68 motherboard.

you know it will kill the lifetime to 1 or 2 years right?

Are you referring to the SSD's lifespan? Because it'll last way longer than that. In fact, Crucial's MTBF is 136 years.

I know, I can bear that. I use pc for developing and my caviar green become really laggy in booting Windows and opening applications... I need to upgrade and I tought an ssd cache would have been a good cheap solution

Also, remember Intel has actually written to their SSD over 1.78 petabytes of data and it's still working to this day.

Can you scratch your budget for a larger ssd? It'd be consistently faster if you just install Windows and your programs on the ssd.
