so I spilled almost a full cup of coffee with a TON of flavored creamer ( i.e. sugar) in my Merc Stealth gaming keyboard.... FML

 

I unplugged it and its upside down drying now... its it fucked? those things run 200+ used and I got it for 29.99 3 years ago.

 

best way to get sugary liquid out?

If you can, take off the key caps and wash it in distilled water (deionized will also work but distilled is better). Let it dry in a warm place for a week. If you can't remove the key caps, wash it in distilled water and let it dry for two weeks.

Take it apart and use the highest alcohol content rubbing alcohol you can and use a cloth or paper towels or anything to clean the bulk of it and cotton swaps to get hard to reach spots.

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.
