If you want something mounted to your headset, Antlion ModMic is the way to go.

Desk mounted, go for this audio technica mic http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR2500-USB-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B004QJREXM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452052202&sr=8-1&keywords=audio+technica+usb+microphone

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

For desktop use I am assuming. Why not on-headset?

I can vouch for AT being a fantastic company with great quality for the price. In fact, I am wearing some of their headphones right now.

Blue Yeti. Was so disappointed in my AT2020 USB. Snowball is great too but there is a clear difference in quality between the Yeti and Snowball imo.
