RAM Overclocking/Better Performance

Go to solution Solved by Benji_w,

Since the memory is rated for 2400 but i can only get 2133, should I modify my settings to match that?

I would manually set them up yes.

I have a set of EVGA dual channel 2x4gb clocked at 2400mhz, (only support up to 2133mhz) with the stock settings at 11-13-13-31@1.65v. I've already dialed in my CPU and GPU to a stable 24/7 OC, but rather confused as how to get more performance out of my ram. Any help would be appreciated.

You'll only net 1 frame in almost all games it's not even worth overclocking RAM.

You'll net more than one frame...

Good read here.

Ideally you want fast ram with low latency and as low as you can go with the volts.

Make sure you stress test your system with a few stress tests including ones that stress memory to ensure you're set up correctly.
