200r, 300r or something entirely else?

SiriousArts

Hey guys.

I recently build myself a new PC and bought a Corsair Carbide 200r for it, because I really like the simplistic design and overall look. The Problem I now have is, that I dont really like the airflow I get in this case (I know, I could have known that by researching the case a bit more)

The 1 120mm fan in the front "powered" by the side intake holes just dont deliver enough fresh air and the bottom intake isn't very efficient aswell due to little clearance to the ground.

Now I just found the 300r which should have much better Airflow for me as it has a lot of filtered front intake possabilities fitting my budget of around 80€.

Do you think the upgrade to the 300r would actually improove airflow?

Is there maybe an even better case for around 80€?

Just because I'm playing with the thought of getting a 100i some time in the future: would it fit into the 200r/300r?

Thanks for your advice :)

If you want to stick with Corsair, I would personally go with the 450D for airflow. Or if you are open to other brands and cases (which you should be), I would get the NZXT S340. Depending on your budget (which you stated €80), there are much better cases out there than the 300R.

The 200R is fine for airflow. The bottom fan has enough room below it if you're not placing the case on carpet or something similar. Are you unhappy with your temps?

Thanks at all of you for posting your opinions.
I send back my 200r and now got a Fractal Design Define S for about 10€ more than I paid for my 200r.

It is absolutely awesome and worth the money. I now have very good airflow with low noise and low temps.
