You dont need a 4790k for a gaming build and for the £2000 I'd spend the most of the budget on a higher end gpu

CPU: Intel I5 4690K | GPU: Asus R9 280x | PSU: Evga 600w | RAM:8GB DDR3 | HDD: WD 1TB | HDD: WD 500GB | SSD: Sandisk 120GB

I would avoid the skylake cpus as those can bend under the pressure of cpu coolers.

CPU: i5 4690k

GPU: Asus STRIX R9 390

CPU Cooler: Swiftech H220-X expandable AIO / Noctua NH-D15 ( If you want air cooling )

Motherboard: Asus Z97 Pro Gamer

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8gb ( 2x4gb ) / Corsair Vengeance LP 8gb ( 2x4gb ) ( Low profile RAM if you are going with the air cooler )

PSU: Seasonic SS750-KM 80+ Gold

Case: Cooler Master Mastercase Pro 5 ( You can change the case to suit your taste and needs. If you are going with this case, you will need to remove one of the drive cages for the 390 to fit)

Storage: Samsung 850EVO 250gb SSD & WD Caviar Blue 1tb HDD

Mouse: Logitech G502 / Mionix Castor / Roccat Tyon.

Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB / Strafe RGB

Audio: Kingston HyperX Cloud II / Steelseries Siberia V3 / Razer Kraken Chroma

Total price will come to about $1617 excluding the OS. You can try squeezing a 980ti if you are gaming on 4k or something.

i5 4690k | MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G | Swiftech H240-X | MSI Z97s SLI Krait Edition | Corsair Vengeance Pro 8gb ( 2x4gb ) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 850EVO 250gb SSD & WD Caviar Blue 1tb HDD | Fractal Design Define R5
