H110 Chipset

Is the h110 chipset suitable for a computer with a 280x and a i3-6100? I have heard people say that the h110 chipset should not be used in a gaming computer so i am a little bit in question right now. imo not worth watercooling an i3 unless your going to upgrade to a unlocked processor in the future
