Razer Warranty

So about 8 months ago I got a used razer deathstalker battlefield 4 editon keyboard and today I bought a Razer chroma deathadder and when I open Razer synapze, it says for both

 

"Register Warranty"

 

And im thinking "well why would they do that, I could just wait years until my device breaks and then register it, ... right?"

 

So I don't know. It would be nice if someone could tell me if that actually works ^^

If you do it later it will still say the date that you bought it Not the date when you register it.

it started when it was purchased, they can see the date it was purchased and start it then

Your warranty always start the day the item was purchased. A valid receipt will have to be shown no matter what when you wish to claim any sort of warranty.

 

Edit: This is not only to prove that you bought the item on whatever day you did, but at what cost and such as well. Example, here in Europe they are required by law to send either the same product, or one of at least the price you bought yours for.
