What M.2 would you recommend?

Sorry for the dumb question but I have no experience with M.2 and just got this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128841). Was looking for a new M.2 to have my OS on when I complete my Upgrade instead of my SSD.

Not sure that a M.2 that costs 190 and holds 256GB is good for an OS install, may someone know of one that is smaller? Looking for a size of about 120GB. My system can hold 3 Hard drives and 2 SSDs so I don't need something too big in M.2 since it will just have the OS and maybe a few other programs that I would benefit taking from the SSds. Sorry for not being clear.

Fact is, any M.2 SSD will be totally fine on that board.

Get the most expensive you can afford.

Might get the Samsung SM951 since it is slightly slower then the 950 pro but has a size that is not over kill unless I can find a smaller size for the 950 pro.

Why not just get the 256GB version, install the OS, drivers etc. and if you have one major game that you almost run a daily basis (like mabinogi) just put that on there as well and now you can load in lightning fast.

You can always find something to fill the space on a drive.

Ifyou get the 950pro nve it will not show up in bios. Install it like a 951 m.2 then it will show up as Windows boot manager in boot options.

And to give you an insight of how fast the 950 Pro can be...

Samsung 951 and 950 pro are almost identical in performance.

:But the 950 pro has a way better warranty.

Utilizes newer tech.

And is compatible with Windows 7 8 and 10 using Samsung drivers.
