   Ok so I am having a few friends over soon and I need to setup a place in my room for them to plugin their Ethernet cables in order to receive a connection to steam servers. Since my main router/modem is downstairs, a 20 foot Ethernet cable wont cut it. So I took an older router that I had around and plugged it in to the wall for power, and took the Ethernet from my pc to my main router and plugged it into the 2nd router in my room. I seem to get a connection, because the PC icon in the bottom right of my monitor has the Ethernet sign saying I have internet, but nothing loads. Google doesnt load up, I cant connect to steam etc. I dont have a splitter around and I need this by tomorrow for when they come over. I have Google Fiber and I'm not sure if they're restricting me from using 2 routers.

   If you didnt understand any of this, heres a summed up story.

Main Router-->2nd Router-->(Connected by Ethernet)-->2nd Ethernet from 2nd Router-->PC

Shows I have a connection but nothing loads, such as google chrome, steam, etc.

How do I fix this? I have google Fiber.

Thanks, nateehink

So you want to use router 2 as an Access point but with Lan ports working. Ok, Example

This config will allow you to setup a different wifi + use the lan ports on router 2. Hopefully you can just follow this example (replace with your settings) and you'll be good to go.

(Update: Fixed Images not working; Also, router 1 IP pool starting should be like 192.168.1.4 so that it doesnt mistakenly give out the 192.168.1.2 that router 2 needs in order to function..) Also, make sure you plug the ethernet cable on router 2 into a lan port not the wan! (Unless their is an option on router 2's firmware to enable wan port as another lan port)

Example image of that here you can see a check box that switches the WAN port to a normal ethernet port: (image isn't displaying correctly but it shows it in router 2's image.)
