Hi,I'm building a rig with a 3770k and I haven't used a closed loop cooling system or any cooling system having water for that matter.I was wondering whether it's completely safe to use the NZXT kraken X60 or whether there are any chances of a leak being spring ,in that case I might have to settle for an air cooler.

Thanks!

No matter what solution you pick, there is always a chance, however slight, of a leak. The current gen of AiO units though are of an excellent build quality and the chance of a leak is VERY slim... Just don't abuse the hoses and you should be fine.

Consider my system pumping 1.5L of liquid at a rate of 1200L/h through my loop. :D

I've seen multiple articles of Corsair fully compensating people when their AIO coolers have leaked and killed their components :)
I really do not think Corsair India would even pick up their phone for customer care!! And they haven't got the h100i to India yet :(

So I might have to settle for the kraken OR if you guys can suggest some decent or atleast the best air cooler which comes to mind,it would be great

if your not gonna do a real loop get a cm hyper 212+

or order a waterblock pump and 120 or 240. if you like upgrading and building pc youll love installing your own watercooling... if you buy a predone water cooler it takes all the fun and risk out of watercooling but just dont rush it everything works out alright... just make sure to check reviews on e-tailers and parts... goodluck..

The difference is when I do my fittings I try to rip the fittings with the tube off the block to see if it will go. (It usually doesn't). If it can take a considerable amount of my strength pulling on it it wont slip out, ever.

And one more question' date='if I mount a heavy heatsink such as deepcool assassin or noctuas dh14,will my mobo bend or break or something like that? That thing weighs around 1.2kg[/quote']

As long as your board is secured down with all the standoffs and you properly mount the cooler, you won't have any issues - just don't bump your case much. That won't help. :)

One more question. What liquid does the kraken use? there is no mention about that.I read that corsair's systems have propylene glycol+distilled water.so even if corsair's cooler were to leak,it wouldn't conduct and no parts will be damaged right?

What about the kraken? NZXT seems to be having an aversion towards answering their emails,I think their CC sucks

First off - doesn't matter what the company uses, what additives are in it, etc. In the end, it is water, a conductive material. If you spill it or get a leak and it hits some components it can short them and damage them. It is most likely a standard distilled water with some sort of biocide, same as Corsair. Remember, these companies don't manufacture any of this. They OEM everything, including the liquid. So would be some formula most likely very similar of Corsairs...
