Got a few quick questions regarding my ASUS P5N-E Sli motherboard, i have an old pc that i use as a HTPC, for a while its noise have been steadily increasing, so i bought a new CPU fan and got a few fans lying around from my main pc that im gonna install it it, but before i do that i have a few quick questions.

1. The 2 fans i have from my main pc are both pwm fans, the motherboard in my old pc only seem to have 1 pwm controlled header, which is the CPU one, is it okay or even possible to use a 3 way pwm splitter on that header to install the fan on that aswell?

2. Will the board support something like a GTX 950?

1. It will most likely work

2. It will definitely work if you have a PCIe x16 slot.

Alternatively, you could just use the PWM fans on the non PWM headers, you just won't have PWM control.

The splitter should work to my knowledge as long as it isn't drawing too much power for the MoBo to handle as for the 950, it should work http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2340054/pcie-x16-graphics-card-work-pcie-x16-pcie.html . Also, try cleaning heatsinks if you haven't already, there may be a dust buildup that is lessening the cooling ability of it.

Okay, yeah gonna give a splitter a try, if it doesnt work ill use the non pwn headers, there just arent a whole lot on this board :)

Cool thanks and yeah i already like having everything very clean, its pretty much as clean as it can get. The CPU cooler is an old zalman one with a small whiny fan and the case fans are just very cheap ones that came with a cheap case. Bought a better cpu cooler and i got 2 noctua fans left over from my main rig that is probably gonna be a bit more quiet :)
