So it's been a few months after Win10 is released and I want to ask all of you who have upgraded (fresh installs etc.), how are the overclocking abilities of Win10? I've read somewhere that Win10 isn't really good for overclocking or there were some issues but where they resolved? Also, I've experienced GPU overclocking issues where I couldn't run my Win7 overclocks. I don't have a CPU that can overclock so I don't know the CPU side of the spectrum, but can anyone enlighten me on the situation? Are you achieving your previous overclocks...etc? Thanks all.

Overclocking is linked to the bios , so it shouldn' be an issue , unless maybe you are using a software overclock.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

No difference from windows 7, other than a weird issue related the my GPU failing every blue moon which could just be the gpu itself with bad timing.

OC'ing should be done in the BIOS, no one should ever use software to OC( except for GPU OC'ing) so windows shouldn't be part of the equation.

Thanks guys. Would you mind if I asked if you guys overclock your GPUs and if so, are able to achieve the same overclocks as before? Also, does RAM overclocking effect the GPU overclock? Thanks.

Nope, I haven't noticed any difference in OC potential and no OC'ing the RAM won't affect the GPU OC(I assume you're talking about SDRAM)

DDR3 dual channel system ram, not the GPU vram

Yep. Same overclock same voltages and temps. I do not overclock my ram though.
