Problems installing Win10 update KB3116869 and Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586.

PlayerXp3

Dear LTT Forum Users,

For a while now I have been unable to install updates:  Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3116869) as well as Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, 10586.

Everytime my computer tries to install the updates on start-up it fails and has to roll them back giving me the message "we couldn't complete changes" on the screen as well as in the notifications tab.

I have run sfc /scannow in an elevated command prompt and received the message: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios."

I have attached the CBS.log mentioned in the CMD message if it helps with finding the problem.

Thanks in advance,
PlayerXp3.

The CoC defines cracks as  "programs that disable copy-protection technology". This is an OS bug as far as I know and as such is not trying to disable any form of copy-protection technology.
