Rosewill is a bunch of lying a$$holes. Lately my power supply has been failing and it started happening after I bought my 980Ti. I eventually got sick of this shit and bought an EVGA 80+ Gold G2 850W power supply from Amazon. Then I decided to take a look at the diagram on my power supply. Rosewill states 750w coming from the +12v rail...nope. It says 648w. Seriously?? Lying motherofsonsofdogs!!!!! No wonder my power supply has been failing to power my extremely overclocked 4770k and 980Ti. So if you're gonna cheap out on anything while building your system, don't cheap out on the power supply. (When I bought my parts I got my motherboard, cpu, and power supply as a package deal so I didn't think much of it since the last time I build a computer was when the Pentium 2 came out).

This isn't Rosewill's fault.

The newegg link you posted is for the Hive S which is worse updated version with 750w on the 12v rail. The Hive you have is the older line no longer sold by newegg and has 648w on the 12v rail.

What you had linked to is the newer HIVE-750S, which is based on the Highpower Direct12 Bronze II unit, which is a DC-DC regulated PSU.

The older HIVE unit is based on the Direct12 Bronze B14C platform (Independent regulated via dual mag amp) like the OCZ / Firepower ZS and just like the original HIVE unit, the OCZ ZS 750w also have 648w on the 12V. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/OCZ/ZS_750W/2.html

This is also true for High Power retail model - Performance Pro. http://www.highpower-tech.com/ID/product_page.php?class=20100527154206&id=20110523160102

That's the exact same page I ordered it when I got it. Yet it doesn't say anything about being a different model. So being a 750w ps with only a 648w 12v must be shitty then right? Would that be the issue I am having.

No, it's not a bad psu and should be more than enough for your system. If you're having issues, it's not from the psu not being big enough.

Newegg had updated the product page to the Hive-S instead of making another page for the new product.

On many listings where a product had been updated to have a newer model (from many brands), Newegg only update the listing with the same link and reviews. If you look at the review, the first review was in 2011, while the Hive-S was release late 2014 / early 2015.

May I asked what was wrong with your HIVE? While I do agree that the 12v rating is a bit low, it wasn't a bad PSU for its time.

PSU is failing thats pretty much it. I don't think it can handle my overclocks and voltages. It would shut off and not let me turn it back on again so I have to let it sit for a good hour or so and then it'll work again. It's pretty annoying
