motherboard! pls help b4 i buy

Go to solution Solved by stealth80,

If you install 32 bit Windows only 4gb is accessible.

But its easy to avoid, just install 64 bit Windows

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5606#sp

An order has been made for this GA-H110M-S2H

 and it says this

  1. 2 x DDR4 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
    * Due to a Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of the physical memory installed.

i have a r9 380 2gb, i5 6400, and 2 x 4 2133mhz ram..does this mean i can only use 4gb of the ram??? or i can only use windows in 32bit.

pls help??

ONLY if you install a 32-bit OS. If you install a 64-bit OS, you'll be able to use up to a theoretical 128 GB of memory. Actual limitations on this theoretical amount is based on the motherboard. Don't worry. Just install a 64-bit OS.
