Hello, I just recently bought a new computer and decided to build it my self.

I purchased the following

an AMD FX-6100

Gigabyte ga-970a-ds3 mother board

and a gigabyte hd 7750

along with a 120 gb ssd

a 1tb storage drive

And 2 x 4gb of DDR 3 GSkill ram

A coolermaster hyper 212 evo CPU cocooler

And a coolermaster 500 watt psu

The system posted when I built it outside of my case

after installing it in my case and would not post.

the power light breifly lit along with my CPU fan spinning.

No more than half a second latter the fan stopped.

I have removed the system from the case and cleared the CMOS

and it still has not posted.

As I am new to this forum please forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

Thanks in advance!

for within your case it could of been a grounding issue, make sure you screw in all the appropriate stand offs

but if you say that it worked before and now that you've taken it out it doesn't, you might want to double check that all of your cables are securely plugged in

It seems like it is a BIOS problem, since posting is after the BIOS checks all the harware to make sure it works properly. check to make sure your GPU and RAM are sitting properly in their mobo connectors, and it looks like from the GIgabyte website you have a dule BIOS function, if it does and its hardware switch try changing it to the orther default bios to see if that might make things better, its possibly the BIOS itself has been corrupted somehow. Hope this helps!
