Hey,

I would like to build my own NAS because buying one either doesn't meet my requirements or is too underpowered for the price presented. I wanted to buy a synology 4 bay NAS but most of them lacked RAM or the processor power. I mostly will have 2 purposes for this NAS, Data storage and streaming as well as hosting a Minecraft server on it for around 15-20 people or so. Ive got a budget of around 600 euros/650 US Dollars, and would like to save some cash where possible.

Ive accidentally bought an additional 8 GB 1600Mhz DDR3 for my earlier PC build, so I put them in my PC with additional 16 gigs otherwise theyd just be lying around  :P. If I do happen to build this NAS Im prolly gonna take them out cause I barely even use 8 gigs on my pc, and instead put them in the NAS. Ive got a Intel pentium also lying around with no use (its like 5 years old) ---- better to buy a new xeon E3 or will the pentium be enough? Ive got a power supply as well (also like 5 years old), some ddr2 4 gigs ram lying around (also like 5 years old), a ATX motherboard (also like 5 years old), a PC case mid tower (prolly gonna buy a new one if I have enough money). Pretty much almost everything is more than 5 years old  :D .

Not really sure what to buy cause its my first time building a server. What components should I get and which ones can I keep from my old pc?

I would be very thankful if someone could help! :)

Would be epic if someone could please create a pcpartpicker build for me!

Thanks
