Is this psu any good? How does it compare to companies like evga or Corsair

It's a high-end Seasonic unit that should outlive you :)

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The V750 is from Enhance and not Seasonic. It's still a great psu though.

The S add-on after the V is just an outside-US thing. They're the same unit.

ok so it will power a single 980 ti just fine how about if i drop down to the 650 watt model?

It's overkill. The 650w is still more than enough. I'd suggest bumping down to a 550w if it saves you money.

ok so pc spec wise i got

intel i7 6700k

gigabyte gaming 7 z170 mobo

gigabyte extremegamer 980 ti

samsung 850 pro 128 boot drive

seagate 2tb hybrid drive for storage

gskill trident 3200 ddr4 16 gigs memory

So really just looking for a power supply to power without having to worry. I dont plan on overclocking anytime soon. it was either the coolermaster v series or a evga power supply. so 550 watts would be fine for this?

i have it on pcpartspicker but the website wont pull up for me this morning.

Yes, a good 550w would be plenty. If you would like a specific recommendation, it would help to mention where you're shopping.

Actually that would be great if I could get some recommendations preferable newegg but if I can find something better somewhere else it doesn't really matter where I buy it.

In the US?

Is that just personal preference? I did a little research and xfx apparently make good psus however how do they stack against say coolermaster, evga, or corsair? The last xfx anything I had was a long time ago when they made geforce cards, so its been a while since I have looked at anything from them.

They're both called V-Series. It's just whether it's semi or fully modular. Semi is Enhance, full is Seasonic

All XFX are made by Seasonic. Cooler Master, EVGA, and Corsair power supplies are all made by different companies, so you can't simply compare brands. Some brands are better for different price points.

It's not so personal preference as it's one of the cheaper psus on the site that is still plenty for the system. If you personally prefer to spend more, feel free.

Cooler Master, EVGA, and Corsair all rebrand from OEM's and their quality range from mediocre to excellent because of different OEM's. XFX rebrands from solely Seasonic and have consistently good psus because of it.

There's no 'both'. The V750 and V750S are the same psu. The S is just left out in the US.

What are the top oem brands to look for seasonic being one, according to all the re iews on the coolermaster v series enhance seems to make a pretty good power supply what about super flower?

Super Flower is about as good as Seasonic. Delta is arguably the best.

Just an FYI, there's a new fully modular V series that had been release. The V550-750 are also made by Enhance Electronics like the semi-modular counterpart, and it has a smaller footprint than the Seasonic KM3 based V700 (150mm vs 170mm). There's also going to be V850-1200 from them as well, that will be rated as Platinum efficiency.
