Except that the dark blue area is water. Water that you actually can swim, submerge, drink, and ride a boat on.

So like Battlefield 1942 then. Except 1942 was bigger more fun you get big planes more vehicles, more players and modability.  By the way I disliked both games, the only BF game I ever liked was Bad Company 2 simply because it was the most fun I have ever had in that series, although BF Vietnam the original one was very good.

How can you judge how fun and big a game is before it came out?

 

Edit: also you can't submerge yourself in water in 1942.

Yea you are right about water in 1942, you don't know how stupid I feel but that was a long time ago when I last played that game. I can tell a game is going to be very similar to the last game when they use the same graphics style, the same guns and same assets because the game mechanics are also likely going to be the exact same. BF4 looks like an improved version of BF3 and not an entirely new game. I didn't expect much though as they barely spent any time on the game. It would seem that BF has lost it's way over the years. It has turned into a very average fps game similar to that of COD except with a bigger map and destruction. It would have been really nice to see the next battlefield become and MMOFPS like Planetside 2 however I guess the console hardware wouldn't have been able to keep up with a large scale map and good looking graphics but still it would have been cool. When you think of the name battlefield you would depict a large scale "battlefield" with many tanks hundreds of people, explosions everywhere and all types of vehicles. But when you see BF3 and BF4 they just remind me of a slightly bigger version of COD with some destruction. If the game was truly a battlefield type game it should be huge like an Arma game or like Planetside 2 with lots of vehicles, players and tons of explosions.
