Windows Start button not opening

Its microsoft's fault again. With the new update they did a couple of weeks ago on windows 10 there have been a lot of new bugs. One of them being the start button not opening and another that really annoys me is when i press Alt+Tab to swap to my desktop it doesnt have the desktop as an option.

the alt-tab thing has been happening to me too :/
