I plan on building a new rig but im not sure if the cpu cooler will block any ram slots, or will it even fit. I could prob find it out myself but im too lazy so please if someone can tell me are these parts good to go:

1. Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

2. Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler

3. MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

4.G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

Thanks for the help!

The ram isn't too tall. They will fit just fine.

That isn't necessary. The ram isn't that tall.

yeah but my point was that even taller ram would fit because of this feature

RAM can fit if you rotate the CPU cooler where the fans are facing up and down.  If you position it where it's feeding air from the front and exhausting to the back you're going to have problems with high profile RAM.  You can re-position the fans and sit them higher but it's going to effect air flow and thus cooling.

No, the NH-D15 has cutouts for taller ram. Rotating the heatsink as you described will result in less clearance for ram.
