how to remove sticker gunk?

i'm currently in the process replacing the graphics on my ktm sxs 125 and the decal on the left air box cover came off with ease but has left a load of residue.

so yeah, what solutions are out there?

its pretty thick so i can't really scrape it off either

Paint thinner is what I always use, alcohol is too expensive for your purpose

 

DO NOT USE PAINT THINNER! It will remove your paint and erode the plastic.

Alcohol works decently. The best thing is usually an adhesive remover, such as Goo Gone (Or your local equivalent):

goo gone or something similar works great.  i just use isopropyl. works great.

Just heating it with a hair dryer and then you should be able to remove most of it with a wet cloth or something.
