Hi all, i ask for all of your opinions and i will tell you all what actually happened during my trip to the PC shop.

I was helping one of my friends, who was a graphic designer and she wanted to build a new PC which she uses mainly at her shop to design pictures. And there I was facing the supervisor and he recommended that I get a I7 - 6700K which he claims is overclock-able(I don't know if that's a word ;D) but as I was thinking, shouldn't I recommend my friend to choose a processor that has more cores for instance the i7-5820k? Because from what I know these tasks that put the cpu to 100% will benefit more if the processor has more cores, but do correct this if i'm wrong. I am still learning :D

So what do you guys recommend?  i7-6700K or I7-5820k?

Thanks in advanced!

5820K. The "K" on the end means the CPU is overclockable.

The 6700K is better in gaming (higher single core performance due to a higher effective clock speed).

The 5820K is better in rendering (more cores at a slightly reduced clock speed).

It depends on the programs your friend runs. Some programs rely more on cpu cores, others rely more on the gpu. The 6700k is fast enough, but if her programs will make use of 12 threads, the 5820k will be faster
