One core that much hotter than the other like that usually indicates your mounting isn't all that great with your heatsink.

Imo, if it's below 80C, it's good. 75C's the sweet spot for my overclock.

But it's a new cooler and all that. I just built this PC 'bout two weeks ago too. Damn. I have to buy some thermal paste.

the cooler works fine im sure. I think it just didnt get seated correctly, make sure it is correctly tightened and everything.

his max temps are fine but the 20 degree temperature difference shouldnt be there

I just reseated my cooler. Didn't reapply thermal paste as my cooler has it on it and didnt come with extra so I just had to deal with it. I am now stress testing it again and I will update a bit later to consult you guys if my temps delta between cores are ok now.

I still see the 20c difference, but its only momentarily like before. Msybe the differnce only lasts 1 second at most. My temps just keep jumping. I think maybe it's because different cores are being stressed at different times?

Could be a standard of error. Sometime the temps jump around like that. I get those drops too but they return to the 70-ish range.
