Another recommendation for upgrade

I want to upgrade my monitor from a 24" 1080p ips. I have a gtx 980 and play mostly single player casual, rts, and occasionally some call of duty, etc when I feel like acting like a teenager.

I am debating between a 144hz, 27 in, 1440p tn panel with gsync and a wide format 3440x1440 ips @60hz. Would I notice a big impact from the gsync for the games I play? I have never played on anything faster than 60hz. I had an old tn panel and I like the upgrade to my current ips, but I heard the new tn panels are pretty good and I don't want to play rma roulette. This would also be used to work from home a few hours a week.

Any recommendations? Hoping for something less than 600. Sorry for the long post.

I suggest an Ultrawide 1080p panel (like that LG 29" Ultrawide) or a VG248QE, as the 980 really isn't that great for 1440P IMO. It would be great at 1080P 144Hz though!

A 980 should be fine for 1440p, especially with gsync.
