FiiO E09K + FiiO E17

Go to solution Solved by MayflowerElectronics,

If you are spending that kind of money, look for an o2/odac combo. There is a great price for one on massdrop.

You could save money and get a fiio e10 I don't think you will notice a difference with hd 600's but I'm not sure so maybe wait for one of the audiophiles to say whether or not that is true

sadly I pulled the trigger myself on getting an E9 for myself because it was on one of those massdrop groupbuys.

I've been thinking about the e7 or the e17 but I've been noticing a lot of people popping an e10 on top of an e9

I'm unsure what direction I will go either. I'm thinking I should have waited and got an O2 instead.

damn you massdrop

What is massdrop? I've been seeing it mentioned a lot lately.

Keep in mind the E9 and E09K have 10 Ohm output impedances just like the Xonar cards.

It's meant as a power amp for high impedance headphones according to FiiO anyways.  I guess they figure people will only plug 1/4" terminated headphones into an amp with a 1/4" jack.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
