Windows activation problem

Go to solution Solved by huberten,

Ok, I believe it's Home edition.

Download the Home edition and perform the Clean Installation, And create a bootable USB drive.

To do that.

Download and run Rufus software.

Insert your USB,

Select your USB from "Device" in the software menu,

Select GPT Partition scheme for UEFI computer,

Select the Windows ISO image in the little CD icon,

And then start the process. Your USB drive will be formatted and the Windows Installation files will be copied in it.

Then try to boot.

It should work.

Don't missout to select GPT Partition scheme for UEFI computer. It is important.

Il try that

Im having problems activating windows, i think its because the software protection service isnt running, and I cant start it

getting error code 5 no access

I`ve tried giving myself ownership and full access to sppsvc.exe, but still the same message

tried

sfc /scannow

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

no problems

Chat with Microsoft

They could come on Remote COntrol and help you activate it.

I used the factory reset fuction

windows 8.1

Home(i think)

You better be performing Clean Installation.

Factory Reset function is a garbage.

Download the respective OS file from this site's provided tool.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

Right Click on COmputer --> Properties, Please check whats under Windows Edition, Then download the respective OS. Most laptop comes with Windows 8.1 Single Language. Not sure on your system.
