LAN Rig needs and wants

Daniel123dk

First of all, im not planning a build. I did this to find out how people think.

So, long question, short.

You have a powerful main rig. You are going to LAN's fairly often.

In YOUR opinion, do your LAN rig need to be as powerful as your main rig?

Depends on the game and how competitive you are.
If you are playing tetris competitively you don't need a beast rig. A laptop will be fine.

If you are playing CS:GO you might need a decent card to run it at 144fps+ to get the most advantage.

If you are playing BF4 then you might as well carry your main rig.

No, unless you main rig isn't the greatest to begin with and the cost of building a LAN rig that matches it is acceptable to you. Build the best LAN rig you can for you given budget

no it just needs to play the games at smooth frame rates

That is right, though some people want over 60 fps.

Well. When i Think of a LAN, i Think that its more like sitting together and play games.
