Hello all,

I've been looking around with little success for an 'auxiliary hub' (multiple inputs to one output that I can connect to my speakers), as I'd quite like to connect my laptop, TV & iPod all to my speakers without having to switch out cables - exactly the same as the HDMI splitter I have, just for 3.5mm aux..

Does this exist? The only item I found remotely similar was this: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8Z274/

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

The easiest and probably cheapest solution is to get a used home theater reciever from craigslist or a Goodwill type store.  The older ones without HDMI go for really cheap.

The next best is a standard AV switch box like this one and just get the 3.5mm to RCA or RCA to 3.5mm cables that are required.  I'm not sure how they handle amplified signals however, meaning you may need to output it to headphone amp instead of directly to headphones, or to a speaker amp if they aren't self powered speakers.
