First time pc risks

Hey, I was wondering about some common problems when assembling a pc and how to diagnose a faulty part without any other spare components to put in to test which part is faulty (this is with no OS installed yet btw)

There aren't any common problems when assembling a PC. it either works, and posts, or doesn't post. 

 

if it doesnt post you need to go back and reseat everything (RAM, GPU, power connectors, etc.)

If it doesn't post, a pc speaker is your friend. Make sure that motherboard comes with one or order one off ebay.

Common problem: Blue screens

 

Diagnose, google error codes and hope you figure it out before windows becomes so corrupted with BSOD that it starts throwing up more BSOD error codes making diagnosing the original problem near enough impossible

 

Common problem: Restocking fee when you cant figure out the problem and return all your shit

 

Solution: Threaten to cut the guy if he charges a "restocking fee"

I threatened to tie him up and make him watch My Little Pony for 6 hours with his eyes forcefully opened and the speakers at max... He gave me a refund, and a free titan x after that...

 

then I had to chuck holy water on it to remove the demons called "Pony's"... then realised that water and electronics don't mix... and I could of changed the channel instead too...
